The words of this song were written by Bro. Stuart McArthur shortly after joining the lodge, and there is rarely a Tower harmony goes by without this song been sung. It goes to the tune of "Little Old Wine Drinker Me".

Well I'm Praying for the bar to open quickly

After a night's work full of tools and grips and signs

And I'm sitting in a lodge room down in Knightswood

We're at the harmony, I've got some drinking on my mind

The words of the original Tower song were penned by Bro. William Crosthwaite P.M. who was our Master in 1968-69 to the tune of “The Davie Crockett Song”, a popular song from a television series in the 60’s. It is usually sung at our Annual Installation, and was sung at the 50^th Anniversary Dinner.
